When you bring clothing to sell at Purgatory Exchange in Ann Arbor, Michigan, you may opt in to receive transactional SMS text messages about the status of your sell-to-us transaction. These messages include confirmation that your items have been received for evaluation and notification that your offer is ready for review. Messages are sent only in connection with an active sell-to-us visit and are not used for marketing or promotional purposes.

You will receive up to 3 text messages per sell-to-us visit. Typical messages include an intake confirmation when your tote is checked in, an offer-ready notification when your evaluation is complete, and occasionally a delay notice if the assessment is taking longer than expected.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to all SMS messages sent and received through this program. Purgatory Exchange does not charge any fees for sending these messages, but your carrier may. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.

You opt in to receive SMS messages by providing your phone number during the in-store check-in process at Purgatory Exchange and providing verbal consent to an associate. Your consent to receive transactional messages is not a condition of purchasing from or selling to Purgatory Exchange. You may choose to decline SMS notifications and wait in the store instead.

Supported Carriers
SMS messages are supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
In-Store Consent Disclosure

At the point of check-in, customers are presented with the following opt-in checkbox, which is separate from the Sell-To-Us Agreement and is not required to complete a transaction:
"I agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Purgatory Exchange regarding my sell-to-us transaction (e.g., tote received confirmation, offer-ready notification). Message frequency varies.
